Had a lovely photo shoot and picnic yesterday with my friend John Mahoney. Two years ago, he turned ninety and celebrated with his entire family and some friends in Rockhampton, Australia. John is now the senior member of the Downers Grove Writers Workshop, where I met him in 2001. His most recent book of poetry, Nights at the Dream Cafe, is forthcoming.
